Corey A. Balser Send Condolences
Corey Allen Balser, 19, of Pond Gap passed away March 7, 2010, of injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born July 18, 1990, a son of Wayne and Melissa Balser of Pond Gap.
He was a 2008 graduate of Riverside High School and was employed with Appalachian Power Company.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Ramsey.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Rachel Pugh; brother, Jeremy Balser and wife, Shannon; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Norma Jean Balser, all of Pond Gap; maternal grandfather, Arnold Ramsey of Dixie; and several loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
He had a special place in his heart for Tyler, Katie, Ethan and Isaac.
Corey will be remembered by his family and friends for his happy-go-lucky attitude. He was a gentle giant. He never had a harsh word for anyone.
Corey was a loving son and was not only brother to Jeremy but was also his best friend. He loved hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed.
